Leaf Spring Play with Dexter E-Z Flex Heavy Duty Rubber Suspension System

Question:

Thanks to the whole team at Etrailer! Your company makes mine and many others trailer needs a breeze. My question or concern is regarding a 2007 weekend warrior 3105 le. With triple axels. This all started with the known wall sag on the Warriors of this era. I have had the walls and frame repairs done. Then replaced all 6 leaf springs along with the Dexter ez flex kit. After install I am noticing my leaf springs appear to be binding. If you look from front to back across the leafs there is a slight shift left to right on the springs. This is making the shackles touch on the left side of the leaf but the right side of the equalizer. Did I install this wrong or is there a bigger problem here. I found a sheet online and measured all my hangers and all checked out good. Any help is much need.

What you are describing sounds like normal play occurring in your suspension system. When taking turns, it is normal for the suspension to want to bind and cause some play in the suspension system. The design of the Dexter E-Z Flex # K71-652-00 allows for this play to occur more than a standard solid metal equalizer.

As long as when you installed the system, you tightened the bolts, and then backed off slightly so as to not have the bolts too tight, it sounds like you installed your system correctly.
