Adding a 4-Way Trailer Connector to the Back of a Honda Goldwing

Question:

I have a Honda Goldwing 1800 that has a flat trailer wiring harness with a 6 Pin connecter for hooking up to a small trailer. The connecter has four pins on the bottom and 2 pins on the top. I need a wire converter that will convert this connecter to match a standard flat four pin configuration. The top two pins on this connector are for the brake lights. The bottom four are for ground, lights, then left and right blinkers. If we plug into this connecter with a standard 4 pin flat connecter we do not get the top two Pins we get everything but the brake lights.

The trailer connector on your Honda Goldwing is set up for a trailer with separate circuits meaning brake lights and turn signals are on different circuits. The trailer that you have has combined circuits; the brake lights and turn signals are on the same circuit.

So all you will need is a separate to combined converter with a 4-Way flat connector such as # 119178KIT. On it, the white wire is ground, red connects to a brake light wire, brown connects to a tail light wire, yellow connects to the left turn signal wire, and green connects to the right turn signal wire. You can use the wires that currently go to the 6-Way on the bike.

There isn't an adapter and converter that will go from the connector you have to a 4-Way flat.
