Weight Distribution Recommendation for a 2010 Toyota Highlander Towing a 4,800 lb Boat Trailer

Question:

I have a 2010 Toyota Highlander, and tow a 4800 lb boat/trailer. Im looking at possibly going to a WD hitch system to help with rear-end squat of my Toyota. My tongue weight is about 430 lbs. I dont want to add any more weight than necessary with a weight distribution hitch, and wonder what you would recommend. I am looking at the RP 3280 Reese Pole-Tongue Adapter. Dont believe I need sway control. I see several different WD systems that seem to be in the right weight range, but again would like to know if you have any recommendations, considering cost and weight of the WD system it self. Thanks.

You are on the right track by knowing that you'll need a pole tongue adapter and by listing your tongue weight.

The Blue Ox Weight Distribution System with Shank # BLU45FR would fit your tongue weight and would work well with a pole tongue adapter # RP3280 installed on your boat trailer.

For a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.
