Why Does the Bulldog Powered Drive Kit Part BD1824200100 Include Extra Gears
Question:
Have 7500 lb lift capacity powered drive kit. Misplaced directions although but found most of what I needed on your site. Although in the kit there are 2 gears. My drive kit appears to fit in my new bulldog jack. What are the new gears for? Email directions just so I have them. Thanks

I checked with Bulldog and here is why they include the extra gears with the # BD1824200100:
If your date code is before E06 (May 2006), then you will also need to change out the bevel gear (included) to accommodate the larger dowel pin (included). The date code is stamped on the outer tube. The letter of the date code corresponds to the month of manufacture (A thru N; A means January) and the numbers correspond to the year (i.e. 06 means 2006). The dowel pin hole in the screw rod will need to be drilled out to 5/16” to accommodate the larger dowel pin (enclosed).
This is mentioned in the attached install instructions link.
