Tire Chain Recommendation for 245/70-17 Tires on 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4
Question:
I read an earlier post about chains/cables for P265/60R-18 tires , where poster mentioned that chains may void warranty. Do you have a recommendation for cables for P245/70R/17 tires on 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4? Thanks for your time.

I checked the owner's manual, and found that for your P245/70R-17 tires, Jeep recommends using low profile chains like the Konig Tire Chains, part # TH02230K77. A low profile chain is called for because of the limited clearance between the inside of the tire and the suspension and braking components. Jeep makes no mention of warranty stipulations.
Jeep recommends that you use chains on the rear wheels only, and recommends you limit your speed to a maximum of 30 mph. I'll link you to the installation instructions, and to some FAQ articles about tire chains.
