Troubleshooting Taillights on EZ Loader Trailer

Question:

My boat trailer is a 10 year old dual axle EZ Loader trailer. None of the lights on the passenger side are working brake, directional, running. The problem is not with the tow vehicle, I connected another trailer to the truck and the lights are fine on that trailer. The boat trailer has the wishbone wiring, 4 prong 5 wire. Could the issue be with the plug or is this more likely a break in the wiring on that side?

To discover and repair the problem, you'll need to closely examine the taillight wiring system on your trailer. Begin at the connector, and closely examine it for damage or excessive green or white corrosion. Clean/repair or replace as needed. Trace each wiring circuit from the connector back to the lamps on the passenger side. Look for loose connections, pinched wires or wires with worn or cracked wire insulation. Check the main ground connection on the trailer tongue, making sure that the ground wire is securely connected to clean metal. Each lamp should be grounded either by a separate ground wire, or by its mounting hardware being in direct contact with the trailer frame.
