Can a 5th Wheel Trailer with Sidewinder/Revolution Pin Box be Used with Auto-Sliding Hitch
Question:
If I purchased the #DM8550024 and then a couple of years from now bought a different trailer or needed to pull a trailer that came equipped with the Reese Revolution or Sidewinder pin box, would I be able to lock the pin receiver on the #DM8550024 so the I could use the Revolution or Sidewinder pin box?

There is a very simple solution to the issue but Sidewinders or Revolution pin boxes cannot be used with hitches with an auto-slide feature such as the HiJacker, # DM8550024. But Sidewinders/Revolution pin boxes can be locked out so that THEY do not pivot at the turret. They will pivot at the hitch instead.
There are 2 bolts at the back of the turret on Sidewinders that can be installed to lock out the turret. And you would also have to make sure the wedge up behind the king pin is also removed so that the trailer can pivot at the hitch. If you lock out the turret then the Sidewinder/Revolution will act as a regular pin box.
