Is the PullRite SuperGlide or Demco Hijacker Autoslide Better for a MORryde RPB72-1621HD Pin Box

Question:

i have a 2017 Ram 2500 shortbed with a fifth wheel hitch with standard rails attached to the bed. What would be the best automatic slider hitch 18,000lbs using the standard rail system and my king pin box is MOR ryde RPB72-1621HD 18k GVWR. I have been looking at the demco and the pullrite. Thanks for your input.

The 18K Demco Hijacker Autoslide # DM8550034 is definitely the way you want to go, and that is not just because we carry it.

When comparing the Hijacker Autoslide to the PullRite SuperGlide you actually get much more at a lower price-point. The things that the 18K Demco Hijacker # DM8550034 and the 18K SuperGlide have in common are that they both offer 14" of travel, they are both automatic sliding 5th wheel hitches, have 2-point pivoting hitch heads, are compatible with industry standard base rails, and they are both rated to tow up to an 18K trailer. Both 5th wheel hitches come with a 5-year limited warranty as well.

The hitch heads are similar between the two with the exception of the 3/4" thick locking steel bar that Demco incorporating into their hitch for peace of mind. The head for the Hijacker can be adjusted between 15-1/4", 16-1/2", and 18" when compared to the one 18-1/2" height setting of the SuperGlide. The extra height adjustments allow you to level your trailer much easier.

You do need the Demco Hijacker Autoslide Locking Plate # DM6025 for your MORryde pin box but that would be the same case with the SuperGlide.

When you set the two autosliding hitches next to each other they look similar until you start pointing out the extra features of the Hijacker and the fact that it sits at a lower price-point. This is definitely the way to go.
