Locking hitch pin for Pro Series Cargo Carrier with Hollow 1-1/4 Inch Shank

Can this be modified to take a screw in pin?

The shank on the Pro Series cargo carrier # 63155 is hollow so you can use hitch lock # e98879. It is designed for 1-1/4 inch accessories that have a hollow shank. I have included a link to a video review of this lock for you.
There is a threaded block that goes on the inside of the shank so the pin part can thread into it acting as a threaded hitch bolt only with the added benefit of a lock!
