How to Pick Out Replacement Brake Assemblies for a Snowmobile Trailer 2010 Rough Rider
Question:
I have a 2010 Rough Rider Snowmobile enclosed trailer. Md RRES8125TA which has two 2500lb axles with electric brakes. I have 13inch tires with this model. I need replace the drum brakes due to age. Q1- Can I replace just the linings without the electric componets? Q2- How do I determine the brake size that I need to do this replacement? Q3- What am I looking at for cost? Thanks

When it comes time to replace the shoes of trailer drum brakes it is almost always just easier and more cost effective to just replace the assemblies.
To determine what assemblies you would need is pretty easy. You need to first determine what size you have. You can do this by measuring the inside dimensions of the hub on your trailer once you remove it like in the picture I attached.
I attached a link to a page that has all of the assemblies we carry. You will need to first select the size that you need from the filters and then the weight capacity you would need as well.
Once you find the assemblies you need the prices will be listed on the page.
