Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we'll be taking a look at the plug adapters for your thru axles for your SeaSucker accessories here at etrailer. So if you have a thru axle bike but you wanna use a SeaSucker bike rack, what you need is one of the plugs that is appropriate for your bicycle. Whether you have a nine millimeter quick release 12 millimeter, 15 millimeter, 15 millimeter boost 20 millimeter by 100 or 20 millimeter by 110 thru axle you can find the adapter. For example, this is the 15 millimeter by 100 millimeter plug adaptor and that refers to the size of the hole inside because your thru axle fits that. So if you have a 15 millimeter but you have a boost axle that will be a different plug adaptor which is this yellow one already mounted to the rack. There are no tools needed to install these.
All you need to do is take the front wheel off of your current bike and keep the thru axle. So I did that process with this 15 by 110 millimeter boost thru axle adapter. Let's take a look at that process. With your plugs, you do have this rubber washer which helps secure them in the mount. Now on that side too, you are gonna have to apply a little bit of pressure to get them into the mount.
Follow the instructions on your specific bike rack to secure the mount using two bolts. So this is used with different racks like the Talon, the Mini Bomber, the Bomber, or the Monkey Bar Roof Rack that also has other applications from SeaSucker and that's why etrailer could be a great resource for you with descriptions and pictures and product pages giving you all the information you need. 5 stars are for the customer service. Based on the picture and the description, I was hoping to receive the aluminum adapters (the updated ones are plastic) unfortunately I received the newer plastic items. E-trailer quickly issued me a return label and a full refund and promised to update the website to reflect the change in the available item. Hopefully I can still find some of the older aluminum ones from another retailer. I am sure the plastic ones will work just fine but I prefer more durable materials for items if I can get them.

Hi Bryon, Thank you for your review! I did reach out to SeaSucker in regards to your review. They did confirm that these plugs are made out of plastic to help keep up with the demand. The plastic ones are just as strong as the aluminum ones.
