Troubleshooting Trailer Running Lights not Functioning
Question:
I have a 7 pin rv on my 2011 f-150 I have no running lights coming out of it.the running lights on the truck are fine,its just the trailer lights that dont work,

First place to check is the grounds of the trailer light assemblies. That's usually the easiest fix. Make sure the assemblies are connected to a clean metal surface.
If that does not fix the problem it's a short somewhere between the trailer connector and the assemblies themselves. Start by checking the pin of the 7-way for corrosion and clean as necessary.
Next you will need to check the wiring from the back of the connector to the assemblies looking for cut or exposed wire and fix as necessary as well.
