I have a 2016 jeep wrangler unlimited JK sahara. What is a good brake controller? I pull trailers with electric and electric-over-hydraulic brakes.

It is easy to recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller # 90885. Our customers consistently rate this item very highly for its easy installation and reliable operation. Plus it has the capability to work with both electric drum brakes and electric-over-hydraulic actuators. If you care to trade up then I suggest the P3 controller # 90195 which has the same capabilities but which includes an easier-to-read digital display. Both are proportional type controllers that will slow your trailers in proportion to the braking action in the tow vehicle. This leads to less of the tug-of-war action between the vehicle and trailer.

For either controller you'll use our brake controller install kit # ETBC7. This includes all the parts you need to convert a 4-pole flat trailer connector to a 7-way type. The installation process is shown in the linked video.

If you do not already have a 4-pole harness on the Jeep you can use # C55124 from Curt, which is a simple plug-in installation as shown in the linked video for this item.
