Question:

I am looking for a 5th wheel hitch to pull a camper. I have a 2010 Chevy Silverado 1500 crew cab 5 foot bed. What hitch would I need. I would also like to be able to remove the hitch and have full bed. Thanks,

Since you have a 5 foot bed the only way you will be able to tow a fifth wheel trailer will be first to replace the pin box of the trailer with a Sidewinder.

You will need to remove the pin box of the trailer and replace it with a Sidewinder pin box. Sidewinders are pin box specific so you will first need to know what pin box you have now in order to pick out the correct one.

There should be a sticker or a stamping on the OEM pin box of the trailer that will list the pin box number that is on the trailer.

Once you figure out which pin box you have you can check the FAQ I attached that has a chart that shows the correct Sidewinder to get based on which pin box you have.

For a hitch the Reese 16k part # RP30047 would be a great option. Then for a rail kit you would want to go with a custom fit kit like the part # RP50064-58 as it will minimize drilling and install time. I attached an install video for you to check out as well.
