Recommended Hitch, Wiring and Related Towing Components for 2011 Hyundai Elantra
Question:
Hi, I have a 2011 Hyundai Elantra. I am looking at your 118473 Wiring Harness Kit. This wiring harness kit does NOT need a power wire run to the engine compartment does it?? Also, your item #19258 will work with the #3594 drawbar, correct? ...I want to use the 3594 drawbar with 24902 hitch reciever. Thanks.

You are correct - Tow Ready wiring harness # 118473 does NOT require you to run a 12V power wire up to the battery when installed in a Touring edition of the 2011 Hyundai Elantra. If you have the sedan then the harness you need is part # C56126 which also does NOT require you to run a power wire.
With ball mount # 3594 you can use 1-7/8-inch hitch ball # 19256 or 2-inch ball # 19258. These are the recommended hitch balls for use with this ball mount.
Hitch # 24902 from Draw-Tite will fit the Elantra sedan model; the Draw-Tite hitch # 24844 fits the touring hatchback model.
You'll want to check your owner's manual before towing to confirm the car's rated towing capacity.
I have linked several videos and articles to help your installation.
