Class III Trailer Hitch Options for 2004 Ford Explorer with 1-1/4-Inch OEM Hitch

Do you make a class 3 or 4 towing hitch to REPLACE my 1.25inch OEM receiver on my 2004 Ford Explorer? I know you have the undermount hitch, however I want to replace the existing hitch. Thanks for your help.

All three of the 2-inch Class III hitches we offer for your 2004 Ford Explorer can be seen on the linked page and all three are as you noted intended for use along with the OEM 1-1/4-inch Class II hitch that came on the vehicle from the factory. We do not offer any Class III or Class IV hitches that actually replace the factory hitch.
The highest rated hitch option is the Draw-Tite # 75132, which is rated for 500-lbs tongue weight (TW) and 5000-lbs gross trailer weight (GTW). If you use a weight distribution system both hitches' capacities increase to 800-lbs TW and 8000-lbs GTW.
This hitch installs without drilling and includes the required mounting hardware. I have linked the installation instructions along with a helpful article.
I also linked an article concerning ball mounts. This will help you to select one with the correct rise or drop that allows your trailer to remain level when hitched, which is important for good tracking and to reduce sway.
