Replacement Fifth Wheel Head Recommendation to Replace a RP30047 Head
Question:
can the top be switch out for a lock jaw slighter. the single side bar has too much play in it my trailer came out after pulling it 35 miles. I think the lock jaw would be a more sequire system.

The replacement head part # RP30047A could be installed on a slider base that the part # PS30099 was installed on and would provide you with a 2 jaw system that would be an improvement over the slide bar of the # PS30099.
You should note that when properly installed the slide bar of the # PS30099 should not allow a trailer to come disconnected. The latch must not have been slid close all the way or the trailer was high-pinned.
