Trailer Jack Recommendation for a R-Pod 179 Forest River

Question:

Other folks that have my same travel trailer r-pod 179 by Forest River dry weight 2800 lbs have used this product on their unit. Do I have to have the unit welded on? It looks like I can just bolt it on with the brackets it comes with. What do you recommend? Im new at all of this. My current tongue jack is rated up to 2000 lbs but scrapes my driveway. I want to be safe.....Will this jack work for me?

The Fulton trailer jack part # FTJ12000101 that you referenced can be just bolted to the tongue of your trailer. It would not have to be welded on. It is actually designed to be bolted on with the included brackets.

I attached an install video for you to check out as well.
