Will Long Ball Mount Allow Towing Travel Trailer with Tail Gate Down
Question:
I have a problem i need to fix., I have a Rhino side by side that i can fit in the back of my truck only with the tail gate down. I also have a 22foot travel trailer that i would like to be able to tow at the same time. With this fix my issue of possible tail gate hitting the travel trailer while in tow or backing up?

The Brophy extra long 2-Inch Ball Mount # BM20 provides 13-1/4-inches from its hitch pin hole to the center of its ball hole.
Without knowing the nature of the trailer's front (is it flat or tapered into a V-shape, for example) or your particular truck I cannot say for sure if you'll have enough turning clearance with your tailgate down. You can estimate this yourself by placing the unhitched truck and trailer near each other at an angle, to simulate a turn, and measuring the length of ball mount you'd need to connect them.
Also note that your Rhino UTV will increase the tongue weight (TW) load on the hitch. The portion of the UTV's weight that sits behind the rear axle becomes additional tongue weight, so you'll want to keep this in mind and add it to your trailer's actual TW to ensure your hitch has enough capacity.
