Is Adding Sway Control a Good Idea for a 12 Foot Trailer Traveling Long Distances on a Highway
Question:
I have a 12 cargo trailer with tandem axel and will be carrying a lot of house items on interstates for at least 1000 miles will this be a added benefit when towing?

Yes, sway control is definitely a good idea especially since you will be doing a lot of highway travel. Big trucks and other vehicles passing by as well as crosswinds can cause trailer sway. A sway control device such as # 83660 will help to reduce that sway so it doesn't become a dangerous situation.
If you will be using the sway control by itself (without weight distribution) then you will need an adapter to attach one end to the vehicle. For Class III and IV hitches and ball mounts use # RP26003. For Class II hitches and ball mounts use # RP26005. I have linked a video showing installation of the sway control for you.
