Recommended Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch for 2011 Ford F-250 with 6-3/4-Foot Bed Towing 42-Foot Trailer
Question:
I have a 2011 f-250 6foot bed, Im purchasing a 42foot 2016 vengeance toy hauler, will I have to have a slider hitch?

Yes, a sliding 5th wheel hitch is required for your 6-3/4-foot bed Ford F-250 to pull your 42-foot Forest River Vengeance toy hauler. If you have a model 398V that has a GVWR of 17238-lbs, then I recommend the Reese custom install kit # RP50026-58 along with the 20K-rated slider hitch # RP30083. The Curt hitch # 16516 is not rated high enough for your toy hauler.
This install kit uses custom brackets the save you install time and drilling, and the round tube slider will give you a good safety margin and be less likely to bind than a square tube hitch.
For a 5th wheel wiring harness you can use # PK11893-11932 from Pollak.
