Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and today we're taking a quick look at the Pop & Lock Valet Conversion Kit for your tailgate lock. So if you had one of the Pop & Locks and you want to replace that lock core so that it isn't key to like to your ignition key anymore, this is going to be the replacement part for you. This is going to fit the 2005 through 2015 Toyota Tacoma Pop & Lock locks. So it's going to come with everything you see here. I have it all assembled.

So this is more or less what it looks like, but you'll get all the parts to get that in place. It also comes with instructions on how to do that conversion, and they do have some black and white pictures to make it easy to do that. So the only tools that you'll really need will be a seven eighths inch and inch and a quarter wrench and a flat blade and Phillips screwdriver.Shouldn't take too long to do, no real modifications needed to be made to your truck or anything like that. It's just going to replace out that lock core so that you don't have to worry about your key being available for anybody to take your stuff. So if you hand off your keys to the valet, or maybe you hand it off to a mechanic and others, you're going to be able to keep all your stuff secure so you don't have to have any worries about somebody rummaging through your things.

So it comes with the two keys there to unlock that core. Typically, the Pop & Locks will be BOLT lock, they have you key that with your ignition key. So with this one, you won't have that issue. But that's pretty much going to do it for our look at the Pop & Lock Valet Conversion Kit for your tailgate locks.
