Surco Folding Cargo Carrier Part # 52018F for 2006 Honda Pilot

Question:

Will this carrier fold up on a 2006 Honda Pilot? Also, what trailer hitch do you recommend with this carrier and a 2006 Honda Pilot?

In order for the Cargo Carrier, part # e98874 to fold up against the rear of your Pilot, there must be at least 9-1/2 inches or clearance from the hitch pin hole on the receiver to the point where the rear bumper is cleared. I am fairly certain that the carrier will fold once installed, but the only way to be absolutely certain would be to purchase and install the hitch first, make your measurement to ensure clearance, then get the cargo carrier.

I would recommend the Draw-Tite Class III Receiver Hitch, part # 75599. The hitch is compatible with the carrier, the only possible obstacle would be the distance from the hitch pin hole to the end of the bumper.
