Differences Between the Thule Gateway and Passage
Question:
I have a 2012 Toyota Corolla S. I am trying to decide between the Thule 910XT and 9006XT bike racks. I see by the information online that all should work but is one better than the others and if so, why? Thanks for your time.

There similarity between the Gateway Pro # TH88VR and the Thule Passage # TH910XT is they are both made by Thule. Thule is a great company that makes quality products and stands behind there racks with a lifetime warranty.
The big advantage of the Gateway Pro # TH99VR over the Passage # TH910XT is the adjustable arms. The adjustable arms makes it work with a wider variety of bikes. The Passage has a fixed position for the arms of the rack so the bikes might be carried at a sharp angle. The other two racks allow you to adjust the angle of the arms so that the bikes can be carried level.
If you plan on carrying any women's or alternative framed bikes without horizontal top tubes you may also be interested in purchasing a Swagman Easy-Out Women's and Alternative Frame Bike Adapter # 64005 to provide a horizontal top tube on your bikes to provide an attachment point. I attached a review video for this product also. This will allow the bikes to be carried more level and will provide more ground clearance.
