Determining Axle Capacity on a Trailer with a Square Axle

I read you article on how to determin the axle capacity. I measured the axle i have a 4 bolt pattern thickness of axle is 1/4 inch from face of axle to i believe axle sticking out it is 2 1/2 is that enough to find out the GWC?

It looks like your trailer has a square axle. The axle measurements are based on round axles so the capacities listed would not apply to a square axle. I can likely determine the capacity by the bearing numbers. If you could pull a hub and get the inner and outer bearing numbers stamped into the sides of the bearings I can determine the likely capacity.

Based on the fact that it is a 4 on 4 bolt pattern it is likely a 2,000 pound axle but could potentially be a 2,200, 2,500, or 2,700 pound axle. It all depends on the bearing numbers. I have included a picture that shows where you would look for the bearing numbers.
