Trailer Equalizer Is Tilted on One Side of Trailer

Question:

Hi Im building a trailer and Im having problems with the equalizer not matching up with the other side. Could it be that the floor Im working on is not leveled? Center hanger is dead on matching up with the other side. I used a laser lever to check if the hanger were position correctly and they were. All Springs are 26 1/2 inches long 3500 LB STRAIGHT AXLE HANGERS ARE POSITION 29 1/2 inches apart I tried and tried can not find the problem.

It is likely that once you have weight on the trailer, and right side up, that it will fix itself. This is a common occurrence. You can some times use a metal rod to persuade it back into place. It also appears that the spring on that side rotated slightly and that could have something to do with it.

The springs also appear to be just a little bit too long and/or the hanger spacing is slightly off from where it should be to allow the suspension to properly travel. It might look completely different though once it is right side up and weight is on it. But as I see it now, its just a little off. I included a drawing of what it would ideally look like.
