Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2015 Honda CR-V
Question:
Greetings. Im a potential first time buyer of a trailer hitch. Im looking at the DrawTite Code: 75742 for my 2015 Honda CR-V. Ill mainly use it to attach a bike rack. Bike Rack investigation still underway! What else do I need / should I purchase to go with the DrawTite Code: 75742? Is the Curt Code C13119 a better purchase? Im familiar with DrawTite. Thanks.

For your 2015 Honda CR-V the Draw Tite Hitch part # 75742 would be an excellent choice. This is a 2 inch hitch with plenty of capacity that would work well for you to carry a bike rack with. I attached an install video for you to check out as well.
The Curt hitch part # C13119 would also work, but since it requires the use of a stabilizer strap like part # 18050 when carrying a non-supported load like a bike rack I wouldn't recommend it for you.
The Swagman XTC2, part # S64670 is one of the most popular racks because it's so easy to use, and because the rack has an angled shank that would raise the bike rack up by three inches providing additional ground clearance. Because of that, this is the rack I'd recommend for you. The rack includes an anti-rattle hitch bolt, but a combination anti-rattle hitch lock/cable lock is available separately as part # S64031.
