What is the Wire Gauge Used in Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Wiring for 2015 Ford F-250

Question:

I have just purchased a 2015 F250 that has a towing and camper package. The camper is a slide and has a seven pin connector but does not use the wire for the brake. The black wire and the white wire are 10ga. What is the wire ga on the harness.

I spoke with my contact at Curt about wiring harness # C56070. He said that there are 12 to 14 gauge wires used. The 12 volt and ground wires would be the larger 12 gauge.

Hardwire harness # 319-S7-08 uses 10 gauge for the ground and auxiliary power, 12-gauge for brakes and 14-volt circuits for the other 4 functions. But the difference between 10 and 12 gauge wire for this application is not going to be a problem so I would stick with the custom harness # C56070.
