Manual Transmission of 2005 Nissan Frontier Smells Like Its Burning When Towing

Hi I have a 4door 2005 nissan frontier v6 6speed manual transmission . I pull boat with it and I can smell the transmission burning.when Im going up hill and reversing. What you guys recommend?

Since your truck has a manual transmission, it's unlikely that what you're smelling is the transmission burning. What you're smelling is much more likely to be your clutch going out.
Manual transmissions generally don't need cooling, and installing a radiator type cooler wouldn't work because the lube in a manual transmission is much thicker than automatic transmission fluid, so it would not flow through the lines and radiator to be cooled.
