Do the Bows and Sterns of Kayaks have to be Tied Down when Carried on the Roof
Question:
In addition to the racks, saddles and straps, is it necessary to use front and rear ropes to secure my kayaks to the car? I have used ropes with other vehicles, but do not see anywhere to secure them to my 2014 Camry hybrid. Thanks.

You will want to use tie downs to secure the bows and sterns of the kayaks when transporting them on the roof of any vehicle, including your 2014 Toyota Camry Hybrid. A lot of the kayak carriers come with tie downs but if you need some you can use # e36ZR. Finding a good spot to secure the tie downs on a vehicle can be difficult but this kit is great solution for you. It comes with soft foam anchors that close inside of your hood or hatch to secure your straps without damaging your vehicle. I have included a link to a video review of these tie downs for you.
