When Installing a 7-Way on a Trailer is a Junction Box Required

Question:

My Toyota Tacoma has a 7 pin connector and I want to install the Bargman 7 pin wiring to a 1968 Nomad Travel Trailer. The trailer has brakes, running lights, brake lights, turn signal lights, and I want to install a deep cycle battery as well. Do I need a junction box on the trailer or do the wires just go to their respective function?

You don't have to install a junction box when you install the # 50-67-103 on your trailer. If you wanted, you could just run the wires to each function as needed.

The black wire of this connector would be the one to use for the charge wire of your battery.

Using a junction box like the part # 38656 would make installing the wiring easier though. I attached an install video for it for you to check out.
