Packem Wheel Control Versus Erickson Cargo Control For Polaris 800 Sportsman ATV
Question:
Looking at these two products to tie down a Polaris 800 Sportsman ATV and wondering if the Packem is worth twice as much money for my application? Its going to get tied down in an enclosed trailer... Thanks

The Erickson ATV E-Track Tie-Down Kit, # EM09160, and the Pack'Em Wheel Tie-Down Kit, # PK-WTD, are fairly similar to one another when it comes to design. The Pack'Em kit is rated at 800lbs and Pack'Em recommends using a minimum of two straps per vehicle. The Erickson kit has a working load limit of 1,500lbs with two straps, or 750lbs per strap. The biggest difference is that the Pack'Em kit includes the mounting hardware. Both products have received great reviews and we have not had any manufacturer defect issues with either kit.
If this were going on my trailer, I would have no problem installing the Erickson kit. Both kits will be sufficient for your Polaris 800 Sportsman ATV and you can secure two wheels with the Erickson kit. This would be good in the unlikely event that one of the straps were to fail. Also, installation hardware can be sourced locally at any hardware store.
