Adding Axle-Less Suspension System on a 1979 Avion Travel Trailer With Existing Axles

Question:

AS YOU PROBABLY KNOW, THIS YEAR AVION HAS FOUR HALF AXLES. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF I CAN USE TWO TIMBREN AXLES FORWARD OF MY HALF AXLES. THANK YOU

In order to potentially add a Timbren Axle-Less suspension system to your 1979 Avion travel trailer, there are few things to consider:

Adding an Axle-Less system will most likely require extensive modification of your trailer and re-aligning of your current axles. The reason you will need to modify your travel trailer is because the wheel well is not large enough to accommodate a third axle. It's also necessary to re-align your axles because the center point of the axles will change from a tandem axle setup to a triple axle setup. As a result, it will affect the tongue weight in addition to weight distribution.

I have added a diagram showing you how to determine the correct axle positions.
