Getting a 5th Wheel Trailer Level Towed by a 2015 Ford F-150
Question:
Hi, I Just purchased a 2015 f150 and hooked my 2004wildcat 24rl up today. My old tow vehicle was a 2010 Silverado 1500.. I need to drop the front of my trailer down about 2 inches.. I have a reese 16k dual jaw hitch thats a dusted asame low as it can go.. my reese airborne sidewinder king pin is as high as it can go.. I have 8+ inches between bed rails and trailer. A set of shorter legs that would fit my hitch would be great.. Do you have something? ?

All of the adjustments that can be made at the front of the trailer you have already made (hitch and pin box height). Shorter legs are not available for hitches. So what you can do, instead of lowering the front of the trailer, is to raise the back of the trailer so that it rides level.
There are a couple of ways you can raise the back of the trailer. First, if the leaf springs are mounted below the axles you can move them to the tops of the axles using an over under conversion kit. The trailer must have double-eye suspension and either a 2-3/8 inch diameter round axle or a 3 inch diameter round axle.
For a 2-3/8 inch you would use # K71-384-00 and for a 3 inch use # K71-385-00. One kit is needed per axle.
If for any reason an over under conversion kit will not work or the springs are already on top of the axles then the other solution is to have the old spring hangers removed and new, taller ones welded on by a qualified professional welder. I have included a link to our hanger main page for you.
