Our 04 G/s 23foot B Touring Cruiser cae with a Blue Ox tow bar, model unknown, used to pull a Saturn. Wonder if we can use it to tow our 2000 Jeep Wrangler? Assume well need base plate, wiring, and aux.brake. M/home has both 4 pin and circular 7 pin wiring. also came with long 7 pin cable to run to the toad as well as coiled safety cables. Thanks!

You should be able to tow the Wrangler, but as a first step you'll want to look in the owner's manual in the Towing or Recreational Towing section for any procedures or recommendations from Jeep. My research indicates that your Wrangler can be flat towed without modification, but I'd urge you to confirm this for yourself.

If you find your Wrangler can be towed on all 4 wheels, you'll need a # BX1120 base plate if your Jeep has the OEM double tube bumper or # BX1118 for the U-channel bumper. For wiring, use the # HM56202 from Hopkins, which is a plug-and-play installation.

For a braking system, the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR is simple to use and simple to install. Place it on the floorboard, attach the claw on the actuating arm to the brake pedal, plug it in and turn it on. There are other less expensive braking systems out there, but they'll cost more when you get done paying the labor involved with the complicated and lengthy installation.
