Trailer Brake Controller to Replace Old Reese Unit for Use With Horse Trailer
Question:
My truck has a Reese Digitrac II brake controller and its gone bad...will work when you beat on the box, etc...I want to replace the box, but I guess this item is no longer available...Im very electrically challenged, but figured I could pair up wires. by colors, and make an installation. Now what? Recommend a unit, please, that has the same reliability been working since 2006 and provides the same safety for our horses when hauling...Needs to be install friendly, if thats possible....Thanks 2006 Sierra 3500, Duramax/Allison

We can help you with one of the latest generation of Tekonsha brake controllers. Tekonsha is a sister brand to Reese (among many other fine brands) and their Prodigy series controllers are among the most popular units on the market since they are easy to install, easy to operate and have proven to be exceptionally reliable.
I suggest the P3 controller, part # 90195, which offers both electric- and EOH-brake compatibility, built-in diagnostics, and storable settings that you can call up for up to 5 different trailers or different trailer loads. If you need a new wiring adapter you can use # 3015-P which will plug in to the under-dash port on your truck.
A representative installation video is linked for you.
