Troubleshooting No Power to 4-Way After Trailer Wiring Install on a 2015 Honda Pilot

Question:

I purchased and installed kit 56170 on my 2015 Honda Pilot with Factory towing pkg and have no lights whatsoever on my brand new boat trailer. I followed all the simple plug and play steps with connectors and fuses, have I overlooked something? Lights on trailer work fine with my 2014 Escape, but there is no power from 4 flat connector on my Pilot. Do you have any suggestions besides checking fuses and re-seating plugs which I have already done 3-4 times............... Thanks in advance,

The easiest place to check first is the red fuse holder of the part # C56170. Is there a fuse in there? If not, that would take out the entire 4-way.

If you don't have the tow package on your 2015 Honda Pilot there would be a few missing relays that you would need to install in the relay panel of the vehicle before the wiring would be completed.

The part # 118558 is designed for vehicles without the tow package and you can see that it is a similar harness that includes two black relays that the Curt harness does not.

What red fuse holder? There is no red fuse holder on the Curt 56170 that I can see. I am having the same exact problem as the OP Rick.

Does your harness look different than the one we have pictured on the Curt # C56170 product page? There should be a red fuse holder coming off the main harness itself.

@ChrisR I am having a similar problem. I have the fuse in the red holder and in the fuse box under the hood. I have turn signals but no running lights. Any suggestions? I have a 2015 Pilot with the tow package...

@Brian What I'd try doing is replacing the fuse in that red holder with one you know is working to see if that's the issue.
