Recommended Brake Controller For 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee

If you have a factory 7-way connector at the rear of your 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee you can use a plug-in adapter when installing a brake controller.
I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, part # 90885. This is a proportional brake controller that activates the brakes on your trailer when you press the brake pedal in your Cherokee. This is one of our most popular controllers because it is easy to install and operate.
You will then need the brake controller plug-in adapter, part # TK93VR. This simply plugs into the back of the brake controller and the other end plugs into the connector located under the dash just to the left of the brake pedal.
If you decide you would like a different brake controller, you will want to make sure it is designed for electric brakes and that there is a plug-in adapter available for the controller.
