How to Determine if Extension Cable for Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera # HM50002 is Needed

Will this plug with the t on my 7 way on my 2013 ram 1500 express? It is screw cab, will I need an extension?

The Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera and Hitch Aligner System # HM50002 that you referenced would install easily and would work well on your 2013 Ram 1500.

The cable that comes with this camera is 19 feet, 7 inches long so I doubt you would need the extension. But to be sure you will need to measure from your vehicle's T- connector that plugs into the 7-way plug at the rear of your vehicle to the spot where you want to mount your monitor to determine whether you will need an extension cable.

The extension cable is part # HM3100504061 if you do need it.
