Vehicle owners' factory warranties are protected by Federal Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act. The Act states that if something breaks on your vehicle and you take it in for warranty repair, the dealer must honor your warranty unless whatever modifications you have added to your vehicle actually caused the problem in question. Do note that even if you disconnect your tuner, your dealer can sometimes still detect the use of any programmer. No one tuner brand has an advantage over any other in this respect.

Tuners appropriate for your Mustang will depend on the engine. You can use the link provided to see tuners suitable for use on your Mustang. You can use the drop down menu to select your Mustang version. The Superchips Flashpaq Performance Tuner # SU1845 that you referenced is a correct fit for your Mustang if it has the 3.7L V6 or 5.0L V8 engine. This tuner in your Mustang can deliver gains of up to 20 horsepower and 23-lb-ft of torque.

The linked article on tuners will give you some good background on the options available.
