Performance Tuner Recommendation For 2004 Ford F-250 Super Duty Diesel 6.0L 4x4
Question:
Have been trying to research and compare chip tuners for my F250. Hard to tell which is better for fuel economy and towing am planning on buying 5th wheel camper over 30ft sometime soon. The SuperChip seems to do all and more than other fancier and more expensive units, but its hard to tell which brand and model of tuners might be best suited for my older 2004 6.0. Any recommendations on this model compared to the others like the Bully Dog, Banks IQ, Edge CTS2, SCT, etc.? Price isnt really the issue...I just dont want to over-pay for a tuner that might not be well suited for an older truck compared to the newer more advanced trucks. And I certainly dont care about playing music on the dang thing either, haha. Also...I have and am making engine upgrades and mods. So far: New Mishimoto all aluminum radiator and coolant filter kit. New EGR valve. New Blue Spring fuel pressure kit. Planning on upgrading to larger exhaust system. Thanks much!

You are correct. The Superchips Flashpaq F5 Performance Tuner, part # SU1845 has many of the same features as the more expensive models and will work great for your 2004 F-250 Diesel.
This tuner just plugs into the OBD-ll port on your truck and is a nice compact hand-held tuner. This tuner lets you monitor and tune your truck for fuel economy, and has tunes to help when towing and overall performance. The tuner is not for use in California.
With the options this tuner has and also the less-expensive price, this tuner is the one I would recommend.
