I called my contact at Convert-A-Ball and asked about the Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter, part # CAB-C5G.

You will need a 3/8 inch allen wrench for the set screws to tighten the collar to the trailer king pin. As the directions state, these should be tightened evenly so that the head is flush with the surface of the collar.

The cap screws have square 3/4 inch heads and they told me many of the folks who install this adapter tighten it as tight as they can. They also told me that if you use a 15/16" socket, it will work just fine.

The jamb nuts on the cap screws are 1-1/8 inches that can be tightened with an open end wrench or crescent wrench.
