Recommended Suspension Product to Reduce Bounce in Chevy Express 2500

Question:

Chevy 2014 2500 Express Conversion van, high top. I realize that when a 2500 van is not loaded it will have a tendency to bounce, like a school bus as seen in a previous question. However Ive seen a multitude of suggested remedies from, stiffer bump stops to the air assist system, to a leaf spring assist installed over the top of the factory leaf springs. Ive also contemplated changing the shocks to a better quality shock then the OEMs. Ive contemplated all suggestions, doing one at a time to determine how much money and effort I really want to put into this, starting with the bump stops first. Basically if you had to choose one to start or do first which one would you recommend?

If the load in the cargo area of the van will fluctuate quite a bit, I'd go with an adjustable alternative like the Air Lift # AL57205 air suspension. You can easily tailor the stiffness of the springs to the load you're carrying, rather than using the jounce bumper type option like the Timbren # TGMFK15A, which typically won't come into play until there's a load being carried on the rear vehicle axle.

The air bag suspension can be supplemented with the addition of an onboard compressor system, like part # F2158 which would allow you to adjust the air pressure in the bags instantly, instead of having to locate a gas station with a functioning compressor. If the load in the rear of the van will change frequently, being able to instantly adjust the pressure in the air bags would be a very convenient feature.

A leaf spring mounted system like the # SSA8MTKT would come more into play when the vehicle is fully loaded. They can be adjusted, but the process is nowhere as easy as filling an air bag or letting air out.

Keep in mind, these options will not increase the weight bearing capability of your vehicle and should only be used with suspension components that are in good condition.

I've linked you to some FAQ articles about suspension enhancement products that you might find helpful.
