Availability of Hubs with 6 on 5-1/2 Inch Bolt Pattern for 3500-lb Axle

Question:

Hello - I have a quick question. Im trying to find a set of spindles with a 6 on 5.5inch lug pattern that will fit a 3500lb. trailer axle. Does anything like this exist? Im trying to keep wheel combinations the same but dont want to change out the whole axle assembly. Thanks.

I think you are referring to a hub or hub/drum assembly that has a 6 on 5-1/2-inch wheel bolt pattern and that has the correct capacity for a 3500-lb axle. Yes, such items exist and we can offer you a choice of four different hubs with this bolt pattern and weight capacity.

The link provided for you will show you our page for the items that meet these criteria. Please note that all of these hub assemblies are compatible with the same bearing set - and this is essential for proper fit on your spindles. The inner bearing is # L68149 and the outer bearing is # L44649. As long as your existing hubs use these same bearings then you can use any of the listed kits.

We have two options in hub/drum assemblies (for trailers with 10 x 2-1/4-inch brakes) and two options in an idler hub, which is a free-spinning hub - no brakes. Both standard and EZ-Lube versions are offered in each hub type. EX-Lube hubs are for spindles that have a grease zerk fitting on the end. All kits include bearings, seals, lug nuts, etc.

I have linked an article and video that may be of interest to you as you prepare for your project.
