Recommended Extended Ball Mount With Rise To Keep Trailer From Hitting The Ground
Question:
I have a Polaris ranger and a 6x9 trailor. I need some elevation for the trailer as it its the neck hits ground when going over bumps. It is also too close to my back of the bed so that I smash my fingers on it cranking the trailer up and down. Please help w something that extends and elevates. Thank you!!!!! eb

It sounds like you need a new ball mount. We do have ball mounts that have a rise, which would lift the coupler of your trailer and possibly give you the clearance you need.
If you have a 1-1/4 inch trailer hitch receiver opening and need about 3-1/8 inches of additional clearance I recommend part # C45522. This measures 11-1/4 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the ball mount hole which should give you plenty of additional room to keep from mashing your hand.
If you have a 2 inch receiver opening I recommend part # 40331. This ball mount has a 3 inch rise or a 4 inch drop, and measures 9-1/4 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the ball mount hole.
