Tekonsha Brake Controller Wiring Harness for a 2014 Ram 1500
Question:
I have primus iq my dad gave me his wiring harness from his ram 1500 I beleive his is 12 or 13 mine is 2014 ram 1500 . The harness he gave me does not have the extra red wire.i have not installed it yet dont know what the red wire is for. Will it work for my truck

Your Dad's 1500 must be a 2012 and the harness must be # 3021-P.
Dodge changed the electrical system on the Ram trucks starting in the 2013 model year to what they call the Powernet. It is a multiplex type of system and all that means for you is that you need a different wiring harness. Wiring harness # 3023-P is correct for your 2014 Ram.
