Blue Ox Base Plate Kit Recommendation for a 2012 Chevy Equinox
Question:
Hello, need help with tow base to car. I have a Blue OX tow system, had a permeant base on a 2005 honda CRV, sold that car, kept all the hardware. I am buying a chevy equinox, need some pointers. what base pate do I use? Can the old base plate be modified to work with the chevy? Can you suggest a place of business in the Denver/ Aurora area that can mount the base plate.???? Thanks for any help.........

The base plate kit you had on your 2005 Honda CRV would not be compatible with your new Chevy Equinox. You will need to buy a new base plate kit for you 2012 Chevy Equinox to use with your Blue Ox flat towing setup. The Blue Ox base plate kit part # BX1689 is confirmed to fit all models of the 2012 Chevy Equinox so it will work for you.

Base plate kits aren't super hard to install. They just take up a lot of time for the most part. Any qualified garage in your area would have no problem installing this kit. I would just recommend finding one with a good reputation.
