Replacement Cradles & Straps for Older Thule Hitch-Mount 4-Bike Hanging-Style Rack
Question:
I have an old Thule 515-0109 hitch mounted 4 bike rack. I need to replace the cradles/straps. Can I use the Thule Stay Put Cradle 853-7887 on this rack? The arm tube diameter on my Thule is ~1. Thanks

The replacement Stay-Put cradle you referenced, part # 853-7887, will fit the 1-inch diameter tubing used in many different Thule racks, including their Roadway, Parkway, Hitching Post Pro and Passage series. It works with Anti-Sway Cage # 853-7758. If these components resemble those that originally came with your rack then they are quite likely to be correct replacements.
Thule has produced quite a good number of different hitch-mount racks over the years and these various designs use different types of cradle assemblies. The part reference you provided, 515-0109, I could not verify with Thule as a current rack part number.
