Question:
39510 Will the recommended controller above work satisfactorily on a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban?

Expert Reply:
Trailer brake controllers are not vehicle specific so you can use any of them on your 2004 Chevy Suburban. If your Suburban came with a factory 7-Way all you would need to install the Voyager brake controller # 39510 is wiring harness # 3015-P. I have linked a video that shows where you will plug in the controller on your Suburban.
If your Suburban did not come with a 7-Way trailer connector then you would also need to add one using # 30955.
There may also be some connections you will need to make under the hood to make the brake controller and/or 7-Way fully functional. I have included a link to a help article that explains these connections.
