Matte black, powder coated steel is durable and corrosion resistant and creates a rugged look.I’d give it 5 stars, but one of the bolts that came in the package wouldn’t thread into the frame. I tried all 6 spots and it was definitely the bolt. All the other bolts worked in each spot. I had to run to the hardware store to buy a new bolt. Thankfully they had the specs listed in the directions. Everything else was great, just bummed about the one messed up bolt. The bolt from the hardware store went in just fine, it was 5mm longer but that didn’t appear to matter.
There is a picture of the bolt, it looks fine but it simply wouldn’t thread. It wouldn’t thread into the little thing at the hardware store either they have next to the bolts to make sure you have the correct size.
I love this hitch. It installed super easy using the video provided by etrailer. Bent the tabs as they recommend and didn’t need to remove the bumper. For the past year I’ve been hauling around bikes on my tow hitch bike rack and gear in my tow hitch mounted cargo box on the back of my sienna. I can carry so much stuff. I just returned from a month long trip to Maine with my cargo box and it was amazing, I was able to bring everything I needed. I love the way the hitch looks I and love how versatile it makes my sienna.
Unfortunately, life got busy after ordering this receiver. It looked well designed, but once I installed it 18 months later, it didn't fit very well. Because we don't plan to use the full class III capacity, the 4 bolts that lined up should work.

It looks to me like this hitch was slightly flexed when you received it. This is pretty easily fixable. You can use a two by four and or a vise to bend it slightly back into position. I have a link below with more detailed instructions on how to correct this. Please let me know if this helps.

Great fit! Easy peasy installation! We installed it on a 2012 Toyota Sienna. My sons and I worked on it together and had it on in less than 30 minutes. We pulled the exhaust to the side instead of removing the exhaust hanger. We bent the tabs instead of removing the bumper cover. Installation video was super helpful.
PITA to install for one bolt but trailer hitch seems well made and solid.

It has worked out well for me. I don’t use it a lot but when I need to it is there.
3rd Hitch from etrailer. This one went on our ‘17 Sienna. Super easy install, fit was perfect. If you’re thinking of ordering from etrailer, you should, and you can install yourself. I’d suggest double checking bolt holes in frame before removing plugs per instructions, you don’t need the middle IIRC, so I ended up removing vapor tape seal but didn’t need to.
Parts came on time. Watched some YouTube videos before installation. Used car ramps made me easy to access. Figured out less work: Opened cover half way and no removal the muffler holder. Things fit as they should be. And ready to pull. Happy with the quality.
This hitch receiver has worked well for the year I've had it. What was great was that etrailer had it and several other options for my 2015 Toyota Sienna. The Youtube instructional video was spot on and made the installation straight forward. Note that you should bring a friend to help lift the unit in place. It's heavy and awkward. Otherwise it's a great product.
We love the receiver hitch! Etrailer made it easy to purchase - picking the right receiver for me and delivery was reasonable, as predicted. It is well made including paint and easy to install.

I havent had to pull anything this past year but I like having the option. I live in Michigan and the hitch still looks new. I would buy another hitch from etrailer for future vehicles for sure.
Looks like it is made by Curt for etrailer. The Curt brand hitch was more expensive so opting for the etrailer one saved me about $40.00.
Install was a little difficult by myself but everything worked out. The hitch was a perfect fit on my 2014 Sienna. Some reviews on the other products offered at etrailer said the holes didn't line up properly, but that was not the case with this hitch, the holes were perfect. Install video was very helpful.
The shipping was fast and free. The hitch was easy to install and looks much better than standard hitches with the cross bar below the bumper.
Would have rated higher but hitch was not square when I received it either from manufacturing or shipping damage with no protective packaging. One side of the hitch was bent inward so it could not fit up into frame. Had to use a jack and wood blocking to bend hitch back to square before installing. In the pictures you can see the difference between sides compared to square.
Has been perfect. Towed cargo trailer across the northeast and cargo tray and quad bike rack from West coast. All with the Sienna! Install video was spot on. And took about half the expected install time. Cutting template was accurate and no issues. Very happy with the hitch. Added the E trailer airbags and Curt trailer light kit. Has been flawless set up.
Installed in a matter of a couple of hours by myself. I used a QuickJack to raise the car up. Otherwise, I would have had a time getting under there. Also used a floor jack with some 4x4s to raise the hitch in place, and then secured with a tie down before getting the 1st couple of bolts in. The image for the cutting of the undertray is not very accurat; you'll need to cut more than shown. Hauled my dirt bike with a HF carrier and had no issues. Definitely recommend this hitch and believe it was worth the extra work to install the hidden version.

No complaints. Still glad I went with the hidden version, both for aesthetics and ground clearance issues. Will probably get another for one of my other vehicles at some point.
This hitch was bought & installed on our 2020 Toyota sienna XLE AWD.
It was shipped and received at my house very fast, impressive. It came well packed with no damage.
My install was a little different than the paper instructions. My under body panel looks different than the instructions but I just held it up and cut out what needed to be removed & it looks great!
If you have one of these vans it’s well worth the money and time to install one, it sits 1 3/4” in from the bumper face. It’s very nice hitch!

A year later and its great! Absolutely seamless, I forget it’s there. Walking past, getting groceries or the stroller, I don’t even think about it until I need to tow. I have zero regrets in buying it.
Installed this hitch over the weekend, the hitch and hardware are top notch and the install was easy, looking forward to many years of service!
Worked perfect. I did not have to remove the bumper trim like it asked. Just the shield and the exhaust mount. Was done is 20 mins.

I read several articles about installing a class three hitch on my daughter’s 2015 Toyota Sienna. I went with your hitch based on other reviews. Your hitch was everything that was promised. I completed my installation in under 90 minutes.

Great product. Quality seems very solid and the hardware is great. The instructional video on their website is good. We installed it on our 2012 Toyota Sienna LE.
I highly recommend 2 ADULTS for this job, maybe even three at the end. You really need a couple of strong people to hold up the hitch while you put in the 1st couple of bolts. One problem that you come across is putting the exhaust pipe back on the rubber hanger. Good luck with that (haha). I couldn't get ours back on so I took it to our local mechanic and asked him to help. Thankfully he helped us slip it back on
Easy to install, absolutely no issues since installing. Would highly recommend. Etrailer has great employees who are always willing to answer questions.
I paired this hitch receiver with a set of air helper springs. I've carried my KTM EXC-450 dirtbike in a receiver carrier many times with no issues. I also use a bike carrier all the time, super helpful for mountain biking to not put muddy bikes inside the van. I removed the bumper to install mine, which made it easier to cut the clearance into the underbody panel.
This worked out great! I absolutely love that they provide a video of how to install it and shows what you need, need to do, and what you'll run into. You'll need to at least pull your car onto a ramp to lift it off the ground so you can get under enough to work on it. The under panel was easy to take off and the hitch receiver was easy to line up and bolt on. It was a little tricky to cut out a notch in the under panel so it lined up just right to look clean and tight. Which was easy to cut with some tin snips. The final look is really clean and you can hardly tell it's even there, but it works great!

Put this on with my father in law in about 40 mins. Watched the installation video prior and got after it.
I was looking for a hitch so that we can haul more luggage on family vacations. After some research I chose this hitch because of how hidden it is under the vehicle. Installation was great. I watched the video and then was off to the races. I was able to get it on without undoing the exhaust from the hanger. The service from etrailer was great. Shipped fast and the quality looks great.
